Home > 1. Bundesliga > Podcast: Gladbach i Guldduel, transfers og farvel til Rudi Assauer

After a long winter break, we are again ready with a podcast that takes the temperature of both the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga, turns the Champions League and looks more closely at some of the winter’s most interesting trades.

For the first time in many years, we have a gold duel in the Bundesliga. Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich seem to give each other battle for the line, but what about Gladbach? Die Fohlen is in a second place, but no experts really count them as part of the title fight, and our panel is also not convinced that they can keep track of despite the remaining program. But why not really? What is it that Hecking’s troops lack to reach the very top?

It discusses Benjamin Leander, Arnela Muminovic and Nicolai Lisberg in this podcast, where there is also time to make a short walk past the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the broadcast, just as the panel also passes some of the most spectacular trades we have seen in January.

Bavarian Alphonso Davies has already been playing time since its turn, and looks like a star in the shroud, but what about Jann-Fiete Arp, who changes from HSV to Bavaria by 2020? Is it a new German national attacker, or do we have too high expectations for Arp after the great start for HSV?

Finally, we also turn the possibilities into the Champions League for the German teams, where especially Dortmund must be quite happy with the fact that Tottenham is without more profiles for the two clubs’ showdowns, while still not many chances are left for Schalke.

Finally, it is also time to commemorate Rudi Assauer, who after several years of illness died on Wednesday night at the age of 74 years.

Remember that in collaboration with Groundhopping Tours, we organize a big football trip to Gladbach when they meet RB Leipzig in a fight that might be crucial to their gold dreams. Read more about the trip, where we hopefully will also see matches in both the 2nd Bundesliga and 3. Liga.
